When We Are Closed

Out of Hours

clockBetween 6.00pm and 8.00am weekdays, all weekend and on bank holidays you can call South East Health, the out-of-hours co-operative, on 03000 242424. Your call will be answered by trained operators who will arrange the most appropriate action for you. This may be a phone call from a doctor, a trip to a primary care centre or a visit from a mobile doctor. Calls to South East Health are recorded.

Please ensure that your medical need is urgent and cannot wait until the surgery is next open. Routine requests for medical attention just delay the response to those whose need is more pressing.

South East Health have been commissioned by the East Sussex Downs and Weald Primary Care Trust to provide the out-of-hours cover in this locality.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

NHS Direct
In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed, call NHS Direct to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
